Joint Fund for Securing Customer Deposits
Aareal Bank AG is a member of the Joint Fund for Securing Customer Deposits of the Association of German Banks (Einlagensicherungsfonds des Bundesverbandes deutscher Banken e.V.), which guarantees payment of all liabilities shown under the "Liabilities to customers" balance sheet item, i.e. overnight and term deposits and savings deposits in particular. This serves as an effective protection for the deposits of each of our bank's clients, including clients of our legally dependent branch in Dublin, Ireland, up to an amount of 30% of Aareal Bank AG's liable equity (haftendes Eigenkapital).
