We have been active in the Belgian market since 1994. Brussels office was opened in 1997. We have managed to build up a loan portfolio of more than € 500m since then.
In 2005, Aareal Bank financed the largest urban development project in Belgium ever made - L’Esplanade in Louvain-La-Neuve - supplementing a university town with a modern shopping and leisure centre. We financed the largest recent office development in Brussels – the North Galaxy. We also financed the office building “Solaris" which the first environmentally friendly A grade building in Brussels.
