Aareal Bank has been active in Denmark since 1992, when financing transactions in Denmark were still managed by the former Flensburg branch. Since then, we have build up a loan portfolio of approx. € 1bn. For this reason, we centralised our activities and opened up the first Scandinavian office in Copenhagen in 1998.
Our main focus is targeted at senior lending, but we also arrange or participate in loan syndications, such as asset deal structures. Aareal Bank's strategy in Denmark is also focused on VAT financings.
We provide a diverse range of products for the commercial property market.
The Representative Office in Copenhagen is linked to our headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany, via the Northern Europe Hub based in Stockholm. With the Northern Europe Hub the bank emphasises its intention to expand business in the Northern Europe Region, i.e. in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the Baltic States.
