Aareal Bank appoints Sven H. Korndörffer as new Managing Director, Corporate Communications

Wiesbaden, 5. February 2007 - Sven H. Korndörffer, 39, has been appointed Managing Director of Aareal Bank’s Corporate Communications division with effect from 1 April 2007. In this capacity, he will be responsible for Aareal Bank’s external and internal communications. This also includes responsibility for press and public relations, Management Board communications, internal communications, and marketing. Sven H. Korndörffer will report directly to Dr. Wolf Schumacher, Chairman of the Management Board of Aareal Bank. Mr. Korndörffer joins from Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB), where he has headed the Management Board Office. In this position, he gained vast experience in public and press relations.

Dr. Schumacher welcomed Mr. Korndörffer’s arrival, saying that he is “a highly skilled banker who will bring aboard extensive experience in strategic and communications issues, thanks to his broad knowledge and understanding of the sector”.

Sven H. Korndörffer graduated in economics from the University of Bonn. In 1995 he started his career as Deputy Manager – Events, Exhibitions and Conferences in NORD/LB’s Communications and Marketing division. In 1999 he was appointed Secretary to the Chairman of the Management Board, holding the rank of Head of Department.
