Aareon AG, Mainz, is an international consultancy and systems house for the property sector. The company is the market leader in Germany. Other strengths of Aareon are five decades of market leadership, special industry expertise and close, long-term relationships with customers, associations and partners. Aareon’s business activities focus on optimising the IT supported business processes of the residential and commercial property industry. The company’s range of products and services comprises consultancy services, software solutions, other services as well as support.

About 55,000 users across Europe manage approximately 9 million residential and commercial units (7.5 million in Germany alone). The Aareon Group is represented at 21 locations in Europe, including 11 in Germany. In addition to Germany, Aareon AG is present in France, the UK, Italy and Switzerland.

With total revenue of EUR 156.1 million and an EBIT of EUR 10.4 million in 2006, Aareon AG was able to maintain its leading position as a consultancy and systems house for the property sector. The Aareon Group has approximately 1,000 employees, fifteen percent of whom work outside of Germany.

Aareon AG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aareal Bank AG, Wiesbaden. As the largest subsidiary of Aareal Bank AG and the market leader for the German property industry, Aareon AG plays a key strategic role for the bank.

About 2,700 property companies in Europe use Aareon AG’s solutions to optimise their business processes. Aareon AG has the following customer groups:

IT solution portfolio
Aareon provides four ERP systems: Blue Eagle/SAP® for complex and individual requirements, GES and WohnData - the established standards for processes in the property business - and Wodis for medium sized companies.

Blue Eagle/SAP®
The customer’s business strategy will influence his choice of SAP® solution. Blue Eagle is the product developed with Aareon’s expertise in the property industry, the SAP® Real Estate Management ERP system or Aareon can upgrade and supplement the customer’s existing SAP® system according to individual requirements. Every Aareon SAP® solution is smoothly integrated into the corporation’s structure, is a long-term secure investment and is flexible enough to respond to future challenges.

Aareon began to develop Blue Eagle in partnership with SAP AG in January 2002 and Blue Eagle was launched two years later. Blue Eagle is based on SAP® Real Estate and SAP NetWeaverTM.

Aareon is market leader in the SAP® real estate market in Europe with around 130 SAP® systems - including more than 50 customer systems.  Aareon has comprehensive SAP® expertise with over 70 consultants plus some 50 SAP developers. SAP has underlined that fact by awarding Value Added Reseller (VAR) and Development Partnership status to Aareon, a partner status unique in the real estate sector.

GES and WohnData
The ASP solution GES and the in-house solution WohnData are Aareon’s long-standing systems. Both ERP systems have mechanisms for large scale integration and automatisation. More than 1,300 companies use GES and WohnData for property management.

Wodis
Wodis, the solution for medium-sized businesses, supplements Aareon’s product portfolio. The basic moduls are tailored to the core processes of the customer’s business. Further modulues are available to supplement the basic system. There are, for example, modules for cooperatives, for the management of third party properties as well as for special administration tasks. Wodis was developed using the most modern technology and is constantly updated to meet technological and economic requirements. Approximately 400 housing companies and cooperatives with more than one million property units use Wodis.

Value added through integrated services
All our ERP systems can be supplemented with our Integrated Services. These include the online service portal Mareon, the AARMIS management information system, integrated banking, personnel and payroll services, various archive and document management systems, data processing center as well as the services of the insurance broker BauSecura Versicherungsmakler GmbH. Integrated services support housing companies by optimising internal and external processes as well as reducing costs.

Consulting and operating modes
Aareon Consulting provides consultancy services für processes, ERP, IT and SAP solutions. Aareon’s service portfolio is completed by reliable IT Services such as ASP (Application Service Providing), outsourcing and hosting as well as extensive training and support. 

Shareholdings
Subsidiaries in Germany and abroad are part of the Aareon Group.

Germany:

• Aareon Deutschland GmbH, Mainz (100 %): Aareon Deutschland GmbH with some 700 employees is the largest company within the Aareon Group. The company provides consulting, software, services, support and training.
• Aareon Wodis GmbH, Dortmund (100 %): The former Techem IT Services GmbH became part of the Aareon group in October 2006 as a result of a strategic partnership with Techem. Techem IT Services GmbH became Aareon Wodis GmbH with effect as from the takeover. 
• Aareon DSK GmbH, Berlin (70 %): The majority interest in this company was acquired in 2004. Aareon DSK’s 25 employees are specialists in software and consulting for the property sector.
• Aareon Immobilien Projekt GmbH, Essen (51 %): With AIPG Aareon expands the company’s presence in Rheinland-Westfalen and also strengthens the SAP project business primarily beginning in this region.
• BauSecura Versicherungsmakler GmbH, Hamburg (51 %): BauSecura is the insurance specialist for the property sector. It is a joint venture between Aareon and the Hamburg based Funk Group, an international insurance service provider.

International:

• Aareon France SAS, Orléans (100 %): The French subsidiary (formerly Prem’ SAS) was acquired by Aareon AG in 2000. The company was founded in 1986. Its customers include important French social housing companies.
• Aareon Italia S.r.l., Rome (100 %): Aareon has been represented by Aareon Italia in Italy since 1999. Its customers include important public property companies. 
• Aareon UK Ltd., Coventry (100 %): This company was founded in 1999. Aareon UK provides integrated solutions and services for the social housing sector in Great Britain.
• Aareon Schweiz AG, Otelfingen (100 %): This subsidiary (formerly RIMO Consulting AG) was acquired in 2000. The company was founded in 1989 and is specialised in the property and trust sector.

Aareon’s international subsidiaries provide country specific ERP software solutions which are market leaders in their areas. The company will gradually roll out Blue Eagle in the international markets. Aareon’s goal is to set the industry standard abroad in the same way as it has in Germany.
