Smart cities, sustainability and tomorrow's energy and water supply - those are all topics of the E-world energy & water trade fair that will take place from 5 to 7 February 2019 in Essen. The Ruhr metropolis will thus be once again the centre of the German utilities sector. The focus "Smart City" will be expanded at the next fair by the "Climate Solutions" topic. The main aim is to discuss new concepts brought about by climate change.

Certainly, the mega trends of digitalisation and urbanisation will still be the central point of attention since they have an impact on all areas of urban life and the entire infrastructure: from efficient and smart buildings to reliable and sustainable energy supply to effective mobility systems. The focus here will be on integrating power and heat, energy-efficient buildings, and sustainable, flexible transport into one optimised system.

Interconnecting buildings, managing them efficiently and making the urban living environment more efficient, technologically more advanced and more sustainable – these are also issues at Aareal Bank Group.
