All good things come in pairs – Aareal Bank Group again takes part in a Bankathon

Summer 2018 is going to be hot! Especially when players at the sixth Bankathon get to their keyboards between 27 and 29 August. This fintech and proptech event will be taking place again in the German banking metropolis of Frankfurt. Once again, the players are going to think up and programme bank-specific software. And Aareal Bank Group will be in the middle of it.

As a Diamond sponsor, Aareal Bank Group will again be entering its own team in 2018. In the prescribed timeframe of only thirty hours, it will be tackling a concrete challenge or application. The players will be using their utmost creativity and innovative ability to generate in a very short time concrete ideas for implementation. “Our goal is clearly defined”, says Daniel Höfelmann, Head of Innovations. “In the Bankathon 2018 we want to be open again for stimuli for designing future banking and property-related services; we are relying on the competence already at hand in the Group.”

The Bankathon 2018 is on the topic of Open Banking / PSD2 and will be taking place in the Frankfurt TechQuartier. The organiser is figo, the banking service provider. In the last few years, the Bankathon has already taken place in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Vienna. Each had over 150 attendees and many successful use cases.
