Aareal Bank and Aareon are long-standing partners of the property industry
Berlin/Wiesbaden/Mainz, 27 August 2010 - Having been a partner of the property industry for many years, Aareal Bank Group supports the exhibition "Berlin Insights - 20 years of living in the reunified capital" (Berliner Einsichten - 20 Jahre Wohnen in der wiedervereinigten Hauptstadt). The exhibition under the auspices of mayor Klaus Wowereit opened its doors yesterday evening in Berlin.
Foci of the exhibition are the rapid change and the development of Berlin's domestic culture since the reunification. Besides gaining insight into the capital's variety of housings, life styles and residential needs, the visitor also learns how Berlin housing companies have put a lot of commitment and creativity in renovating and modernising apartments and districts.
In order to be able to realise the exhibition, Berlin citizens had been called upon to submit their personal recollections related to the subject "20 years of living in the reunited capital". There was no limit to the imagination: from photos to documents to objects e.g. champagne corks that made a dent in the apartment ceiling the day the Wall came down - everything was permitted. The exhibition offers its visitors personal and versified perspectives onto what makes residing in Berlin so special.

The "Berlin Insights" exhibition runs until 31 October 2010.
