Wiesbaden, 9 October 2013 - With effect from 1 January 2014, Dr Marisa Doppler will be Managing Director and Head of Governmental Affairs at Aareal Bank. Based in Berlin, she will be responsible for political relations at the national and EU levels. In this newly created function within the Corporate Communications division she will monitor legislative procedures affecting the financial markets from Aareal Bank's point of view. Marisa Doppler changes over from Deutsche Bank where she has been responsiblefor the respective issues as Director and Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs Germany in Berlin since spring 2012. Before this she headed the Berlin office of IBM Germany.
Dr Wolf Schumacher, Chairman of the Management Board at Aareal Bank explained: "In addition to its active participation in banking associations, Aareal Bank has been keeping up a constructive dialogue in the political arena for quite some time. It is our intention to step up this dialogue in the future. Her long-standing experience and extensive expertise will make Marisa Doppler a valuable addition to achieving this."
