As a global enterprise operating in the property and housing industry, it is a matter of course for us to make a contribution to the sustainable and future-oriented development of our cities.
 

Focus of our donations and sponsorship activities

Our corporate social responsibility encompasses both donations and sponsorship activities in Germany and abroad. We select our activities based on the following criteria:

1. We support projects that are related to our business purpose, including commercial property financing and digitisation services for the property and housing industries.  
2. We support social projects that serve to protect cultural values and promote education for all, in particular children and teenagers, regardless of their ethnic or national origin, religion, ideology, disability, sexual identity, gender or age. 
3. We prefer to support projects in the regions in which we are located. This allows us to contribute our local expertise in an efficient manner and to establish long-term partnerships. 

Principles of our donations and sponsorship activities

Aareal Bank Group selects its activities based on the following principles:

1. We do not provide support for political parties or their affiliated institutions. All organisations that we support must act, and initiate projects, in a manner that is consistent with our system of values.
2. The project for which a donation is to be made or a sponsorship entered into must fit Aareal Bank AG's/the Aareal Bank Group's donations and sponsorship guidelines.
3. The organisations that we support must be recognised as charities by the tax authorities and must be authorised to accept donations and enter into sponsorships.
4. The organisation that we support must consent to Aareal Bank AG having the right to report on our support in both words and pictures in the press, other publications and on social media.
